Since 1986, friendly hosts Lynne and John Boyce have welcomed guests aboard their beautiful 60 foot two masted sailing yacht "Sydney Sundancer" to enjoy the best Sydney Harbour has to offer.
The husband and wife team have had a romance with the sea ever since they can remember. Lynne called the luxury liner, QE2 home for years, while John has sailed everything from tiny dinghies to the most luxurious pleasure craft afloat anywhere in the world. He is a master mariner and former yacht racing champion who has been sailing on Sydney Harbour for over 40 years. His knowledge of maritime matters is legendary, and his Sydney scuttlebutt (stories of people and places on Sydney Harbour) will entertain guests of all ages. His expert knowledge ensures the yacht runs smoothly and so will your charter.
Lynne & John are justifiably proud of their “Sydney Sundancer“ having supervised every aspect of its construction in Sydney, employing only the best specialist tradesmen to ensure everything is “just right”. In nearly 35 years of boat charter operation, they have never had a mechanical failure that prevented then completing a charter booking! They will liaise with you to create your perfect Sydney Harbour charter with every detail in mind, whether you are choosing to have full catering, or total BYO food and drink. Lynne is the author of a published cook book entitled “Gourmet Sailing” and the American Gourmet magazine “Bon Appetit” has written to her requesting one of her recipes for publication in the USA, so you can be assured that if you choose her catering, the meal you enjoy aboard will exceed expectations and surpass what is served in well-known Sydney restaurants. Her emphasis is on healthy cuisine, and she is more than pleased to cater for vegetarians or those with particular food allergies, but you are equally welcome to BYO food and serve yourselves. No matter what style of charter you choose, Lynne will photograph the proceedings and send you a file containing the images she has taken. Thus “Sydney Sundancer” is ideal for weddings, birthday celebrations, client hospitality and any other occasion that is to be enjoyed on the best harbour in the world!
